How many couples are in a prenatal class?

What do you picture when you think of a group prenatal class? Do you think of a teacher standing at the front of the room, with a bunch of adults crammed into kid-sized desks staring at a giant picture of a woman’s ovaries and vagina? Well, maybe now you are!

There are some prenatal classes in Montreal that have upwards of 40 people! That’s 20 couples! TWENTY!

Let that sink in for a while. You are sitting in a classroom with 38 other people, all strangers, so you can learn about what is most likely going to be the biggest milestone of your adult life. Isn’t that weird?!

Isn’t one of the main reasons you want to take a group prenatal class so that you can meet and get to know other couples? You can find out what they’re going through and if they can relate to what you’ve been going through? I mean, let’s be honest- you just want to find out if they have questions that are just as silly as yours, right?

Everyone is wondering all the same things as you, so don’t worry, your questions will be answered!

At Birds and Bees prenatal classes the group is never more than 20 people. That means 10 couples, all sitting together on cozy chairs and couches. Before we even start teaching, people are settling in with their coffees and tea and chatting with each other.

It often feels like the first day of school. A little anxious, a little nervous, but bubbling with excitement and smiles that can’t be contained. Joining a prenatal class means that it’s all really happening. It means you are really getting close to the birth of your baby and everything that comes along with it.

Do you really want to be doing that while sitting in a metal chair, drinking bad coffee in a room with what feels like a million other people? What about YOUR questions? How are you supposed to even have time to interact with each other or even the teacher? Where’s the fun in that? You might as well stay home and Google.

Or...you can give us a shout and we’ll take good care of you at our of our awesome, intimate and interactive classes. We can’t wait to answer your questions- even the “stupid” ones.
